It's the beginning of the year...

HAPPY FOUNDATION DAY TO ALL!

12 Years of being a company we like to endearingly call Wisdm! For those who do not know about “Insider” it’s our monthly magazine that we used to send out to share the latest happenings in and out of the company!

Before Keka sent out reminders, Insider shared news about birthdays and work anniversaries. Over time, readership dropped, maybe we didn’t put in enough effort, but we’re back with a lot of energy and optimism to have this magazine running up and again!

In every edition, we’ll have something new for you, someone from among us will have something to share and certainly loads of pics!

Insider is also a channel to voice opinions, recommendations, and more, write to us (cultural.committee@wisdmlabs.com) if you want to feature your story or clicks.

And now… read on…

Meetups Warm Our Hearts!

On 8th January, we had 11 interns join us. We thought of meeting some of them who were from Mumbai/Pune. We organized a one-day meetup at Pune office. As is tradition, we presented them with blank diaries. What’s the significance of blank diaries you ask? I suggest you directly ping Rohan! Limitless creativity is all I’ll say!

We also discussed our mission – “Helping small businesses make money online” and Wisdm qualities and values. The emphasis on qualities and values is going to be strong here on. Because if we have to craft the “Wisdm Way” of doing things, build a solid culture, we have to have a strong foundation and those are our values. We will have more… for now, here are pics from the meetup!

P.S.- Shweta and Dipu our teammates from Jharkhand and Kolkata, and all others who we haven’t met yet… we hope to meet you all, soon! Surely for Nexus! 😃

Outerspace Adventures

Let’s see what fellow Wisdmer’s have been upto outisde of Wisdm…

Dhawal's Trek to Hampta Pass

Hampta pass is a corridor to the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh… somewhere near Kullu valley. Our very own Dhawal Bargir (Head Honcho in the Products Team) went on this trek. The visuals scream of breathtaking natural beauty. Take a look.

Ronnie, Sijo, George go for Lunch!

On a trip to Kochi, Ronnie made it a point to meetup with his two new teammates over lunch – Ronnie is the one in the middle, Sijo on his left and George on his right!

From Valley to Volley

Dhawal is a big Fan of Volleyball to the extent that he organizes tournaments! Early January, he organized a fun tournament for like-minded folks in his area! Here are the pics… if you want to participate next time and live around Baner, Pune, reach out to Dhawal!

Dipu's Participation in ICPC

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is an algorithmic programming contest for college students. Our freshly joined intern Dipu Prasad participated in ICPC Amritapuri regional contest on 28th Jan 2024.

Here’s an account of the event, straight from Dipu, “It was a great experience and the best ever week of my life I have spent in Amritapuri Campus as I was always surrounded with like minded people and got some advice from other participants to improve my problem solving skills.
During the contest, we realised how different it was to participate in the offline contest from online contest as every team got one computer. So, to decide whose approach is right was confusing and a new experience. We even argued among ourselves for a question when all of us had different approaches.

Now about the result. We were expecting to get into at least top 50 but we got 197 rank. We were little sad with the result but also we were happy with the efforts we did to reach there and the efforts we made to solve the questions and got this unforgettable experience. Going to  ICPC regional was dream for each one of us before even entering the college and we got there in our fourth year which is best  achievement till now and every moment from registering for the contest to participating there was surreal.”

Dipu, your experience is certainly inspirational! I’m sure you will have a lot of Wisdmers asking you about this. And yes, here are some pics from the event and of some sightseeing!

Wisdm's Got Talent

Girl of Value

Poem by Shweta Kumari (Intern in the Services Operations Team)

She, a blossoming flower

Needed love and care

She is sharp-minded

She is laborious

She has a great confidence

She is not a girl

She is the queen

But the dark clouds thundered

She broke down

No one mourned her, rather cursed

She lost her self confidence

Her mind left her

Faith turned face from her

But after a black night

Comes a blazing morning

Bringing new hopes

Calling for chances

Creating opportunities.

She was back again

To conquer the world

To prove her self-worth

She was to shoot the star

Not the moon.

She is a girl of value

Not a lady of showpiece.

Last but not the least...

We promised you that during our Republic Day Celebration call, we would have something for you all made out of the pics you shared! Wellll we wanted to make a nice collage for you as a memory of the event and of course to symbolise what it was all about – INDIA 👇
